A motorcycle collided with another vehicle at Beverly & Edgemont (by Kenmore) at around 7:18 pm Wednesday evening.
The motorcyclist reportedly died on scene. The suspect driving the car was detained, though it seems the collision is being classified as an accident. Traffic on Beverly was still closed as of 2:10 am.

The area where the accident occured is variously known as North Koreatown or East Hollywood.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Randell “Randy” Smith, a resident of an apartment on 1st Street.
